Weslaco, Tx – It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mrs. Elena Gonzalez, who passed away on February 8, 2026 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Elena Gonzalez was born on April 25, 1950 to Lamberto and Margarita Espino. Mrs. Gonzalez was a very hardworking women whose greatest pride and passion in her life were her 2 children, whom she loved deeply and wholeheartedly.

 Mrs. Elena Gonzalez will be remembered as a woman whose heart was bigger than words can describe. She was known for her selfless nature, always placing the needs of others before her own. Helping people was not just something she did — it was who she was. Whether family, friend, or stranger, Elena was always ready with open hands and a compassionate spirit.

Elena’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved deeply and unconditionally, but nothing brought a brighter smile to her face than her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her love, guidance, and warmth created a foundation of strength that will continue through generations.

Mrs. Gonzalez leaves behind a legacy of kindness, sacrifice, and unwavering love. She will be profoundly missed, but her beautiful spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

Mrs. Elena Gonzalez is survived by her daughter; Haydee Gonzalez (Saul Juarez), grandchildren; Abigail Gonzalez, Jaime Gonalez Jr., Kaylee Juarez, Alexia Gonzalez, and Julian Juarez. Mrs. Elena Gonzalez is preceded in death by her husband; Octavio Gonzalez, her son; Jaime Gonzalez and her parents; Lamberto and Margarita Espino

The Gonzalez family would like to invite everyone to Mrs. Elena Gonzalez’s visitation on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mrs. Elena will continue her services on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a Chaple service to start at 1:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home. Mrs. Elena Gonzalez will have her burial at Weslaco City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
